February 2019: Diamond Light Source has recently tested Allectra’s KAP301 special radiation resistant high temperature Kapton insulated wires. These wires replace the 311-KAPM-RAD series and can go to higher voltages.
A coiled length of Allectra radiation-hard wire was tested by Diamond’s vacuum group under an electron beam to investigate its vacuum compatibility during radiation exposure.
